David Magnesen, DPM, CWSP, has over 20 years of experience in diagnosing and treating all injuries and conditions that affect the lower extremities. Specializing in foot surgery, diabetic foot care, and wound management, as well as treatment options for neuropathy. Dr. Magnesen is board certified through the American Board of Wound Management. He provides integrative podiatric care at Southwest Foot & Ankle in St. George, Utah, Ely, Nevada, and Caliente, Nevada.
Dr. Magnesen completed his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah, where he was awarded a Trustee Scholarship. He was then accepted into graduate school and received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in San Francisco.
To ensure he’s always available to his patients and can provide personalized medical care, Dr. Magnesen went on to work in private practice.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Magnesen can communicate with diverse groups of people. He enjoys spending time getting to know his patients and their families, allowing him to build lasting relationships.
When he’s not busy caring for patients, Dr. Magnesen enjoys staying active by running and exercise. He enjoys following BYU football and basketball. Dr. Magnesen and his wife have 4 children, and 4 grandchildren.
